The role is a first point of contact for Koorie students and provides generalist support throughout the students’ journey. The role also provides individual support in relation to a range of topics including, study skills, social connectedness, financial understanding, and general wellbeing/welfare matters. The role acts as a pathway for Koorie students to access internal and external support services.

The Koorie Student Support Officer delivers proactive outbound engagement campaigns aimed at improving the student experience and increasing course completion rates. Support and engagement will be delivered across a range of channels and delivery modes including drop-in sessions, appointments, class talks, presentations, workshops, resource creation, events and webchat.
